Just finished reading “Our Impossible Love” by Durjoy Datta. It’s was the first time I was reading DD’s book . I had heard a lot about him , I decided to start with his latest work “Our Impossible Love” .
Life teaches us what ‘love’ truly is And love gives definition to ‘life’
Aisha, a bit of a late bloomer, has to figure out what it means to be a woman and to be desired. Danish feels time is running out for him and he’s going to end up as a nobody, as opposed to his overachieving, determined younger brother.
Life takes a strange turn when Danish, the confused idiot, is appointed as the
student counsellor to Aisha. Between the two of them they have to figure out love, life, friendship—most of all, themselves. And it’s not proving to be . . . easy?
Our Impossible Love presents
Life the way it is and
Love the way it should be

My View About The Book :
Durjoy has chosen to tell this story in first person , which gives a socecial touch to the narration. This book talks on so many youth issues such as puberty struggles, sexual fantasies, school bullying, heartbreaks, homosexuality, molestation, sibling bonding, parental expectations in an interesting manner.
The initial 35-40 pages of the book are little embarrassing and annoying , even at starting I thought what sh#t I’m reading .. But as I had spent money to buy that book I decided to continue in hope that story will get interesting ..
But soon story got the pace , and easy read narrating of Durjoy kept me involved till the end.
I felt that the climax was too silly & dragged a little bit, but that is something which can be easily ignored.
At end I will say , you must read it once .. Even though it is teen/youth targeting book , Serious readers can also enjoy the book as it talks about many social issues in a great manner ..
So Go For It !!
