Not The One

Today , I saw her after a long time ,

Don’t know what & why ….

But … seemed like my heart paused for a while … 
At the very first sight of her ,

I started walking towards her ..

But … Brain said .. ” stop .. stop there ,

She ignored you .. ”

That realization broke my heart ..

I managed to stop my feet ..

But … couldn’t control my eyes ..
And then I lost control on my mind too ..

It started wandering on the paths of old memories ..

Recalling those secret meetings .. long lonely walks .. 

My heart started imploring myself to “go & talk” …
But I’m done with the pain that she caused ,

I don’t want her to play with my feelings anymore .. 

broken trust is hard to mend ..

She was never THE ONE , she never loved me ..

Because if she had  …. She wouldn’t have left  …
Losing her was my greatest fear .. Now I’m fearless ..

“Wait … Why am I still thinking about her !?” ,

I wondered . And walked away …
