The COVID19 pandemic has forced most of us to stay inside our homes. And, we have a lot of time in our hand, how about using it to do something productive?
Whether you want to learn something new or hone your skills, free online courses are the best thing for you. Some even provide certificates too! Hack to make your resume stand out!
So, I have enlisted some websites that offer free online courses.
1. Google Skill Shop
It is a one-stop training centre for all of Google’s products and tools.
- Google Ads
- Analytics Academy
- Google My Business
- Android Enterprise Academy
- Google For Education
And you will certificate once you complete the course and pass the assessment test.
Google Digital Garage
Google Digital Garage offers 100+ courses which are completely free with no time limits, unlimited access, and quality content.
Free certification is available for two courses:
• Fundamentals of Digital Marketing
• Elements of AI
I strongly recommend the course of Fundamentals of Digital Marketing. Especially to all my fellow bloggers.
FutureLearn is a part of the Open University which offers diverse learning programs from many top educational institutions and organisations.
For extensive learning, you can choose full programs which contain various courses in them. FutureLearn also allows and encourage students to interact with each other.
There are so many free courses with a free certificate from prestigious universities waiting for you!
3. LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com) has 15,000+ expert-led courses.
It is currently offering a 1 month free trial. What are you waiting for?
4. Philanthropy University
It is the best online learning platform for people working in the non-profit sector. They offer practical courses with knowledge-sharing communities just a click away for philanthropy enthusiast in you.
Saylor.org is another great platform to refine your knowledge/skills and earn a free certificate on course completion.
They offer courses on art, biology, economics, philosophy, business administration, communication, etc.
Other websites with free certificate courses:
SWAYAM platform has been developed by Ministry of Human Resource Development and AICTE with the assistance of Microsoft to provide around 2000 courses for free.
But if you want to get a certificate, you will have to pay a nominal fee.
But there’s one major concern – they don’t provide any free certificates. But I think you might not hesitate to pay some if you are getting an official certificate from Harvard, right?
Other websites who offer courses by many prestigious universities but charge you certification fee:
Websites for great free courses (no certification)
Whether such courses and certificates are helpful or not is a very tricky question with no concrete answer to it. But what’s the harm in learning something new or upskilling yourself?
