Stay by my side

Ask me if I’m okay.
When I say I’m fine, Ask me again.
Because I’m not.
I am breaking inside.
I want you to be the anchor of my sanity,
Stay by my side.

I know it’s getting late and you should go,
But I want you to stay,
I know you love me,
But I want to hear you say.
I need you to grasp me,
And hold me tightly.
Talking what we already know,
Just don’t go.

Everything now seems useless,
Everyone is so cold, so ruthless.
But your vibe is unmatchable,
Nobody I repeat nobody can make me feel the same comfort as you,
No, I’m not saying it just to make you stay, believe me, honestly, it’s true.

I need your support,
I just need to feel your presence,
I need your touch
Am I asking for too much?

  1. I love this piece. I enjoyed reading every line and diving into the emotions that fill up my screen. I love the part references an anchor. It kept me drawn in as a reader and took me to a deeper place. All in all excellent work!

  2. You are not asking for too much but the way human bonding has gone out for a toss, it very sadly appears that you are asking for too much. A basic human need very well and sensitively expressed!
