As I waited at the traffic signal,
amidst the ceaseless roar of the city,
the scent of the city’s bustling streets,
and the distant sound of a horn –
all of these sensory details stirred something deep within me.
And then something happened,
maybe it was meant to be.
My eyes fell upon a figure, selcouth and enigmatic.
A living embodiment of everything that was beautiful in the world.
Her smile, equally enchanting, with lips slightly curled,
And then, my eyes met hers.
In that moment, time stood still,
and I was lost in the mamihlapinatapai that we shared.
Her beauty, like a rare gem, shone brightly in the midst of the chaos around us.
A picture of stunning grace and elegance.
The green light beckoned, and she disappeared into the throng of people,
leaving me with a clandestine that I couldn’t shake.
And though she was gone in an instant,
the memory of her lingered on.
I could still hear the sound of her footsteps,
see the way her hair danced in the breeze,
and feel the warmth of her gaze upon me.
The girl at the traffic signal had awakened something within me,
something that had been long dormant.
But in that brief moment, something had shifted,
and I knew that I would never be the same again.
And for that, I will always cherish her,
and the moment we shared,
as a reminder of the beauty that exists in the everyday.
