My New Book!

Unexpected friendship is the best. ❤

Getting an unexpected message from the person you miss is the best feeling.

We often even fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time.

As they say, life is really full of unexpected surprises.

And recently an unexpected thing happened in my life. I wrote a book when I was not even planning to write one. And the unexpectedness doesn’t end here.

If you have read my poem called Modern Literature you must have an idea about how I feel about this new trend of turning a single sentence into multiple lines and calling it poetry.

And I never expected to write and publish a poetry collection in that style of writing. But here we are!

We don’t want anyone to spend any money on this book, hence we’re going to make it available here for free. Just click on the image below to download the book.

Please let me know your honest feedback about this. As always, suggestions and criticism are always welcomed.

Can I ask one little thing from you?

Please rate and review this book on the Goodreads once you’re done reading it.

P.S. don’t forget to read the note at the end of the book. I hope you’ll have fun reading this book!

      1. Hey, I read those micro poems..
        Just as you said,
“Perfect has become so popular that good has become worthless”
So, regarding this I can say micro poetry or long poems, both can be good..what matters is if it touched someone or not.
I liked those micro poems too!!🙂

      2. Hey Sohanpreet,
First of all, Thank you for taking the time to read the collection and sharing your views here 💛

If there’s any confusion, let me tell you that this was not against micro-poetry or all Instagram poets. We are ourselves Instagram poets. We support this community completely. And even we write micro-poetry.

This is a parody. We are mocking this so-called trend where sentences like ‘I dunno yanno’ are being printed on a full paper and people are calling it poetry. Many people are just writing a single sentence and converting them into multiple lines and calling it poetry.

How are we supposed to say that this is poetry?!
I totally acknowledge that line breaks can be used for adding emphasis on the particular word but you can find thousands of so-called poems where such breaks are used mindlessly. Just to make it “look” like a poem.

This was our attempt to show how easy it is to write such “poems” it took us just a few hours to write this entire collection. There are people out there who are actually putting so much of their time and efforts because they value poetry. They aren’t running in this so-called race, they love real poetry.

      3. I know your views and read the message at the end of the book😅.. I can understand your concern as a poet🙂..and I don’t know about dunno yanno lines… I was talking about small pieces.

      4. I can even give many examples of small pieces of many popular contemporary poets which might be a good sentence but I don’t think that’s poetry. And even if we assume that’s poetry, I’m sure it’s very very easy to write.
Anyway, take a look at this poem 👇
        Even if
        we are in constant touch
        with our family members.
        Sometimes
        there are certain issues
        which they may not
        be able to share
        with you.

  1. Yayyyy! Congratulations on your new book Mr Positive and Anshi. This is a hilarious and really innovative work by you both. I don’t want to spoil it for others by talking about it in the comments section. 😂 So, great work. I really hope this reaches to more and more people and they realise what poetry is all about. And the title of your book is so accurate. 😁 Great work, you both.

    1. Generating revenue from a blog is a bit tough unless you’re food or lifestyle or book review blogger (who gets paid tor the promotion).

And since you don’t have your own domain, you can’t get paid for ads on your blog (but that’s not a big deal as such Adsense revenue is often very very less).

Now let me tell you how you can generate revenue using your blog. Your blog will act as your portfolio if you apply for any content writing job anywhere. There are plenty of job opportunities for content writers now, and your blog will help you hone your skills as well as being an example of your work.

      1. Affiliate marketing is there but for that, you should have a wider audience range better if your blog is dedicated to any niche to attract offers from that sector. But as far as my knowledge is concerned, it’s very difficult to get for regular blogs.

  3. I had no idea what precious gems were waiting to be read in your book💎, I just read it and I absolutely love these poems. Great poetry touches people on a universal level and you’ve accomplished that 💖🙏🤗. I’m amazed you both wrote this within a few hours. I like the length of each poem and the genuineness that comes through.

  4. Well it started off really well but I was sad to find out it turned into heartbreak. It made me feel sad 😦 I LOVED the beginning lines the most. I could quote a couple lines that really touched me. Interesting compilation 😀

  5. It may be micro poetry, but some of it, (not all of it, not even most of it,) is quite funny and quite good. But I do get your point. Micro poetry can be a lazy mans excuse for a poem, but some micro poetry can also be quite profound and reflective, well written haiku and senryū being good examples. My poem that I wrote today, just 20 line long took longer to write than your book, if, as you say it only took one hour! But well done, I at least enjoyed the irony of it!

    1. Thank you so much, Sir, for taking time to read it! Yes, Senryū, Haiku and even many micro poems are very well written. But the problem is that most of such are not. You can literally sense that it’s a single sentence and there was no need for a line break there. And it’s not that difficult to come up with one poetic sentence that can be chopped down mindlessly to make it ‘look’ like a poem.
