Awesomengers 2 : The Thrilling Night

As the dawn broke, a gentle breeze wafted through the air, carrying with it the distant sound of an engine. Mayank, on his morning walk, was caught off guard by the arrival of a white Audi R8, roaring past “The Galaxy” – the headquarters of CosmoTech. The people living on the hill did not use cars to visit The Galaxy, which was within calling distance.

Startled by this unusual occurrence, Mayank pressed a button on his watch, inquiring as to who was driving a car at this time, and who had permitted them to enter the hill. A mechanical voice answered, revealing the driver to be Mohsin, to whom Mayank had granted VIP permissions the previous night.

Quickly making his way to the lawn in front of The Galaxy, Mayank spotted Mohsin snapping selfies in front of the magnificent building. “What brings you here at such an early hour?” Mayank inquired, perplexed by Mohsin’s presence.

“I hadn’t had a chance to explore Nerd-o-hill last night, so I thought I’d take a look before we set off for camping,” Mohsin explained, as he and Mayank jumped into the car.

The two friends got into Mohsin’s car and drove to the parking lot, where Mayank pointed towards the hands-free Segways kept on a cupboard. Mayank suggested they use the Segways instead of the car, as cars and bikes were not used for travel on the hill.

Soon both of them were on the road with huge mansions and beautiful trees passing by on both sides. Mayank continued the conversation by telling Mohsin about who lives in the houses they were passing by.

At the end of that street, some sort of noise was coming out from the Ketan’s house. Both of them entered through the gate in front of that house, marching in search of the source of that noise, they ended up seeing Ketan working on a van in his garage, “This beauty is our ride for today !” Ketan exclaimed with a big smile on his face.

“When we have most amazing cars parked here, Why are we going in this thing,” Mohsin asked with a confused face.

“Don’t you really get it ?? To stay away from the media’s eye ! of course” Ketan replied quite sarcastically.

“Okay, I forgot that my friends are now celebrities. Fine, But what were you doing ?” Mohsin asked curiously. Ketan thought for a while and replied “nothing. just installed the latest sound system in it !“

The sun was setting in the west as the group boarded the big white custom-made vAppoloinan for their camping trip.

“Did anyone call KomaR” all girls started giggling as Priti asked this. “Yeah, Ravi and Komal are in London now, they are busy in buying players for an upcoming season of premier league” Prajwin replied.

Anant put the van on auto-driving mode and joined others in back to have fun. All of them spend the rest of their journey in singing songs, playing antakshari like they used to do in college days. Mohsin & Sanjyoti heated the atmosphere as they danced together while Mayank sang a romantic song for them.

The tents were pitched, and a roaring bonfire illuminated the dark night sky. Everyone huddled around the warmth of the flames, admiring the twinkling stars above. Well, everyone except for Suraj, who went back to the van to bring the ice-box and Kanchan who followed him saying that she had forgotten her glasses in the van.

Actually, they were enjoying some privacy in the van parked away from their camping site. As the camps were at some height, adding a hiking experience to their night out.

But their peaceful evening was interrupted when Suraj spotted a bright white light suddenly appearing out of nowhere. The light rapidly descended and crashed into the nearby woods. Suraj, consumed with excitement, raced towards the object. Kanchan had no option other than following him.

Suraj tried to open that UFO somehow, but nothing happened. And then suddenly a green gas started to come out of that UFO. Kanchan who was halfway there stopped where she was, covering her face with a handkerchief. And then Suraj fell down on the ground.

“SURAJ!” Kanchan screamed as she watched him fall. With no time to lose, she called for help, and the group quickly arrived on the scene. Though the gas had dissipated by then, Anant had found some gas masks from the “Apocalypse Supply Kit” in Ketan’s van, proving to be useful in the situation.

As Suraj lay on the ground, the group of friends huddled around him, their attention solely focused on his condition. The sight of a strange object in the background was completely forgotten.

Rutuja, a skilled doctor, quickly took charge and examined Suraj, her expression solemn. “He’s in serious danger,” she declared. “We need to act fast.”

Anant wasted no time and called for the others to help him carry Suraj to the van. But as they lifted him, Prajwin pointed towards the UFO and asked, “What do we do with that?”

Without hesitation, Mayank whipped out his phone and dialed Atul. “Come to the location I’ve sent you and pick up a package,” he instructed. “Prajwin will be waiting for you”, glancing at prajwin who nodded in the response.

Everyone other than Prajwin and Anant carried Suraj back into the van and started to drive back.

As the others loaded Suraj into the van, Kanchan couldn’t hold back her tears. “We need to get him to the best doctors out there,” she sobbed.

Mayank had a plan. “Delia,” he said calmly into his phone, “pack your bags and come here immediately.”

Delia was bewildered. “What’s going on?”

“It’s an emergency,” Mayank explained urgently.

“And I think you are our last hope. believe me, this is something that you won’t get to do every day” Mayank said calmly walking toward the back seat, away from the crowd.

“Okay, when you put it in this way. I’m ready”.

In an instant, Mayank was back on the phone.

“Ravi, my friend, listen up. I know you always have your hypersonic plane on standby. Use that blazing speed of yours and get to me as fast as you can. And bring a plus one, I’ve sent her photo and address to Komal. Hurry!”

Raviraj was not pleased. “Why should I drop everything and rush over? I have a dinner lined up with the Queen herself, for heaven’s sake.”

Mayank hesitated, then spoke with urgency. “It’s a long story, my friend. Suffice it to say, Suraj’s life is in danger.”

“I’ll be there in no time,” Raviraj said without further argument.

In London, Raviraj and Komal landed near Dr. Delia’s house. After exchanging pleasantries, the three of them hopped into Raviraj’s hypersonic plane, which looked no more extraordinary than any other aircraft from the outside.

“Fasten your seat belts,” Ravi said to the ladies as he revved up the engines. “I hope Rahul has cleared the air traffic for us.”

Back in India, doctors at Rutuja’s hospital were frantically trying to figure out what was happening to Suraj. All they could tell Kanchan was, “He’s still alive, but his body is gradually giving in to the mysterious gases inside him.” This did little to comfort Kanchan, whose eyes were already red from tears.

Suddenly, Mayank’s phone buzzed. “There are two, ugh, alien bodies in this,” Prajwin said in a trembling voice. Mayank’s eyes widened with shock at the news.
